All UNC Health employees, including clinicians, are required to complete annual compliance and safety modules in Learning Management System (LMS).<\/p>\n

These modules must be completed within 30 days of hire and annually thereafter. The annual completion deadline is June 30.<\/p>\n

To complete your required training modules, log into LMS using this direct link<\/a>\u00a0or by accessing LMS through\u00a0My Apps in Citrix<\/a>. Complete all HCS modules assigned to your LMS Timeline.<\/p>\n

For a list of required annual modules, refer to Appendix A of the\u00a0Employee Mandatory Annual and Specialized Compliance Training policy<\/a>. You may be prompted to log in through MyApps after clicking the link.<\/p>\n

EMTALA Training for Certain Clinicians<\/strong><\/p>\n

EMTALA training is separate from the LMS coursework listed above.<\/p>\n

Clinicians who work in the Emergency Department (ED) or Labor and Delivery (L&D), whether employed or not employed, are expected to complete EMTALA training. This applies to anyone providing care in any capacity, <\/strong>including those performing consultations (e.g., orthopedics), and those who are on call to respond to the ED or L&D.<\/p>\n

EMTALA training is not required for clinicians who do not provide patient care in the ED or L&D.<\/p>\n

Your entity may assign additional modules throughout the year. Please monitor your entity news announcements and your LMS Timeline for assigned tasks.<\/p>\n

How Is LMS Module Completion Tracked?
\n<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Clinicians may monitor their own progress by reviewing the LMS Training Transcript and LMS Timeline tasks. These tools are accessible from the left menu of the learner dashboard after logging into LMS.<\/p>\n

Supervisors may run an Exception Report in LMS at any time to monitor required module completion for their direct reports. A tipsheet<\/a> for running Exception Reports is available. You may be prompted to log in through MyApps.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
