SUMMARY:ABRF Town Hall: Introduction to AI for Image Acquisition
DESCRIPTION:Tuesday\, June 18\, 2024\, 12:00 – 1:30 pm ET\nOffice hour: June 25\, 2024\, 12:00 – 1:00 pm ET \nREGISTER HERE \nIn response to the significant interest in the recent AI in Imaging Cores Town Hall\, ABRF is excited to announce a new series: AI & Bioimaging Community Discussions. \nThese new online meetings will cover the ABCs of AI in bioimaging\, starting with an introduction to AI\, to image acquisition and analysis\, to software and developing your own models. \nThe new meetings will be held monthly (except August) on a Tuesday from 12:00 – 1:30 pm ET. The following Tuesday\, there will be a one hour “office hour” for follow up questions/discussions. DESCRIPTION:Join your ABRF colleagues to discuss shared questions\, common challenges\, or issues that you’re facing in your career or professional journey.  The monthly ABRF Peer Mentoring conversations are scheduled for: \nThird Tuesdays of the Month \n2:00 – 3:00 pm ET \nRegister here. \nHeld monthly\, these peer-to-peer mentoring discussions will be an opportunity to learn from one another and to identify new ideas or approaches to situations you may face within your roles. \nSimilar to an informal mentoring program\, these small-group conversations are an opportunity to leverage the diverse experiences and abilities within the ABRF Community. \nPossible topics for peer conversations include: \n–          Professional development options \n–          Core facility career paths \n–          Balancing cost recovery with the need to be cutting edge \n–          Authorship and tracking publications \n–          Training \nThe specific number and  topics discussed during the Peer Mentoring Conversations will be determined by the participants.
