SUMMARY:Neuroscience Microscopy Core: Leica STED Seminar
DESCRIPTION:In conjunction with demonstration of the Leica super-resolution STED 3X/FALCON/FCS microscope\, Chris Ott\, Leica Confocal Applications Specialist\, will review the technological advances that will be available on the system and give advice for sample preparation for the hand-on demonstrations. \nThe Neuroscience Microscopy Core is hosting the demonstration of the Leica super-resolution STED 3X/FALCON/FCS microscope from September 2nd to September 13th.  This state-of-the-art confocal microscope is ideal for imaging projects that require pushing beyond resolution limits (even below 50nm) for 3D structures with super-resolution STED capabilities in 3D.  This microscope is also equipped to do FRET\, fluorescence lifetime and fluorescence correlation spectroscopy to measure dynamic interactions in live cells\, tissues and organisms. \nFeatures: \n• LIGHTNING super-resolution down to 120nm and below 50nm when combined with\nLeica Microsystems’ STED 3X.\n• FALCON the future of functional imaging. FRET\, fluorescence lifetime\, metabolic imaging and more at 10x\nfaster than conventional systems.\n• FCS data acquisition with up to 4 Hybrid Detectors (HyD) simultaneously.
