August 9-11, 2023, UNC Chapel Hill hosted the annual meeting of the Mid-Atlantic Directors and Staff of Scientific Cores (MAD SSCi), a chapter of the Association for Biomedical Resource Facilities (ABRF) at the UNC Friday Center. Over 60 representatives affiliated with UNC Core facilities attended the conference as attendees or speakers and many attended our pre-meeting workshops, utilizing the opportunity for education in business skills and educational pedagogy for training core customers. We were proud to see so many core advocates and directors from UNC take the stage to discuss a myriad of important topics. It was an honor to share our community’s expertise with the broader regional core community.<\/p>\n

A big thank you to all of the corporate and institutional sponsors, many of whom work with our core facilities on campus,–without their support this event could not have been a success.<\/p>\n
