{"id":5352,"date":"2023-09-21T11:00:56","date_gmt":"2023-09-21T15:00:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/corefacilities\/?p=5352"},"modified":"2023-09-21T11:02:16","modified_gmt":"2023-09-21T15:02:16","slug":"funding-alert-voucher-program-for-projects-in-som-core-facilities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/corefacilities\/funding-alert-voucher-program-for-projects-in-som-core-facilities\/","title":{"rendered":"Funding Alert: Voucher Program for Projects in SOM Core Facilities"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><span style=\"color: #000000\">The Office of Research Technologies\u00a0 and CFAC are excited to announce that we will once again hold a SOM Core Facility <span class=\"markufunixhcl\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">Voucher<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"markqjb03leio\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">Program<\/span>\u00a0and ask that you forward this information to your customer e-mail lists and send to departmental list servs.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"color: #000000\">The\u00a0<span class=\"markufunixhcl\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">voucher<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"markqjb03leio\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">program<\/span>\u00a0is intended for UNC researchers (from any school) to apply for up to $10,000 in funding to be spent at one or more\u00a0<b>SOM core facilities which invoice for services<\/b>. This is specifically intended for\u00a0<b>NEW method development<\/b>\u00a0<u>or<\/u>\u00a0<b>PILOT DATA for currently unfunded projects<\/b>\u00a0that\u00a0<b>ALSO<\/b>\u00a0meets one of the following criteria:<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Establishes the applicant as a new customer of at least one core facility<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Creates a multi-core pipeline<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Allows a customer of a core facility to use a new technique or methodology within a core they have previously used in other capacities (this is at the discretion of the core director)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"color: #000000\">Applicants will be required to meet with and have the written approval of the core directors for core facilities they intend to use at the time of submission and must plan to fully spend out their funds by June 30, 2023.
