{"id":5740,"date":"2024-08-20T10:33:16","date_gmt":"2024-08-20T14:33:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/corefacilities\/?post_type=tribe_events&#038;p=5740"},"modified":"2024-08-21T09:24:14","modified_gmt":"2024-08-21T13:24:14","slug":"cfac-voucher-program-applications-due","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/corefacilities\/event\/cfac-voucher-program-applications-due\/","title":{"rendered":"CFAC Voucher Program Applications DUE"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>ORT and CFAC are excited to announce that we will once again hold a SOM Core Facility\u00a0Voucher\u00a0Program\u00a0and ask that you\u00a0forward this information to your customer e-mail lists and send to your department for distribution on departmental list servs.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The\u00a0voucher\u00a0program\u00a0is intended\u00a0for\u00a0UNC researchers (from any school) to apply\u00a0for\u00a0up to $10,000 in funding to be spent at one or more\u00a0<b>SOM core facilities which invoice\u00a0for\u00a0services<\/b>. This is specifically intended\u00a0for\u00a0<b>NEW method development<\/b>\u00a0<u>or<\/u>\u00a0<b>PILOT DATA\u00a0for\u00a0currently unfunded projects<\/b>\u00a0that\u00a0<b>ALSO<\/b>\u00a0meets one of the following criteria:<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Establishes the applicant as a new customer of at least one core facility<\/li>\n<li>Creates a multi-core pipeline<\/li>\n<li>Allows a customer of a core facility to use a new technique or methodology within a core they have previously used in other capacities (this is at the discretion of the core director)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>Applicants (who may be PIs or trainees)\u00a0 will be required to meet with and have the written approval of the core directors\u00a0for\u00a0core facilities they intend to use at the time of submission and must plan to fully spend out their funds by June 30, 2025. Carry-over of funds is not guaranteed, and applicants should be aware that the technical feasibility to complete the study within the proposed timeframe will be an important factor in award decisions.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Cores which can be used are limited to those administered by the School of Medicine or who serve a majority-SOM customer base.
