This is specifically intended\u00a0for\u00a0<b>NEW method development<\/b>\u00a0<u>or<\/u>\u00a0<b>PILOT DATA\u00a0for\u00a0currently unfunded projects<\/b>\u00a0that\u00a0<b>ALSO<\/b>\u00a0meets one of the following criteria:<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Establishes the applicant as a new customer of at least one\u00a0<span class=\"markywm4gnpbt\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">core<\/span>\u00a0facility<\/li>\n<li>Creates a multi-<span class=\"markywm4gnpbt\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">core<\/span>\u00a0pipeline<\/li>\n<li>Allows a customer of a\u00a0<span class=\"markywm4gnpbt\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">core<\/span>\u00a0facility to use a new technique or methodology within a\u00a0<span class=\"markywm4gnpbt\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">core<\/span>\u00a0they have previously used in other capacities (this is at the discretion of the\u00a0<span class=\"markywm4gnpbt\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">core<\/span>\u00a0director)<\/li>\n<li>Applicant has been impacted by a recent grant termination (last 6 months) or a programmatic change at the NIH or other federal agencies, and is collecting pilot data to target new federal funding opportunities or new internal collaborations (see special note in Application Instructions)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>Applicants (who may be PIs or trainees)\u00a0 will be required to meet with and have the written approval of the\u00a0<span class=\"markywm4gnpbt\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">core<\/span>\u00a0directors\u00a0for\u00a0<span class=\"markywm4gnpbt\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">core<\/span> facilities they intend to use at the time of submission and must plan to fully spend out their funds by June 30, 2026. Carry-over of funds is not guaranteed, and applicants should be aware that the technical feasibility to complete the study within the proposed timeframe will be an important factor in award decisions.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><span class=\"markywm4gnpbt\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">Core<\/span>s which can be used are limited to those administered by the School of Medicine or who serve a majority-SOM customer base.
