This CRC includes three projects supported by an Administrative Core and a Clinical Core.<\/p>\n<span class=\"collapseomatic \" id=\"id69d3f942799f6\"  tabindex=\"0\" title=\"Project 1: Human Responses to Candidate Chlamydial Antigens\"    >Project 1: Human Responses to Candidate Chlamydial Antigens<\/span><div id=\"target-id69d3f942799f6\" class=\"collapseomatic_content \">Project 1 will exploit responses of women highly exposed to CT to identify candidate vaccine antigens through profiling of CD4 and CD8 T-cell responses.<\/div>\n<span class=\"collapseomatic \" id=\"id69d3f94279b18\"  tabindex=\"0\" title=\"Project 2: Chlamydial Vaccine Testing in Mice and Guinea Pigs\"    >Project 2: Chlamydial Vaccine Testing in Mice and Guinea Pigs<\/span><div id=\"target-id69d3f94279b18\" class=\"collapseomatic_content \">Project 2 will explore the efficacy of two leading T cell vaccine modalities proven safe and effective in humans as a route to establishing lasting immunity to chlamydia challenge.<\/div>\n<span class=\"collapseomatic \" id=\"id69d3f94279bba\"  tabindex=\"0\" title=\"Project 3: Biomarkers of Chlamydial Susceptibility and Disease\"    >Project 3: Biomarkers of Chlamydial Susceptibility and Disease<\/span><div id=\"target-id69d3f94279bba\" class=\"collapseomatic_content \">Project 3 addresses a critical need for biomarkers to accelerate rational vaccine design and testing by supporting identification of individuals most likely to benefit from immunization.<\/div>\n<span class=\"collapseomatic \" id=\"id69d3f94279c1b\"  tabindex=\"0\" title=\"Administrative Core\"    >Administrative Core<\/span><div id=\"target-id69d3f94279c1b\" class=\"collapseomatic_content \">\u00a0The Administrative Core oversees the scientific and programmatic goals of the UNC-CVI. This Core works closely with the project investigators to ensure integration of the diverse data sets generated from the Clinical Core and Projects 1-3.<\/div>\n<span class=\"collapseomatic \" id=\"id69d3f94279cba\"  tabindex=\"0\" title=\"Clinical Core\"    >Clinical Core<\/span><div id=\"target-id69d3f94279cba\" class=\"collapseomatic_content \">The Clinical Core of the UNC-CVI will collect clinical specimens required by the investigators for projects.
