\"Ben<\/p>\n

Benjamin Chi, MD, MSc<\/strong>
\nProfessor, Global Women\u2019s Health
\nActing Director, Center for Women’s Health Research<\/em><\/h3>\n

Dr. Chi holds appointments in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Department of Epidemiology and has developed an extensive research and mentoring portfolio in global health. His areas of expertise include implementation science; program evaluation; clinical trials; HIV prevention, including the prevention of mother-to-child HIV transmission (PMTCT); HIV care and treatment; and maternal-child health. He has received funding from the National Institutes of Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, and other private foundations. In addition, Dr. Chi leads several training programs designed to foster U.S. collaborations abroad, including the UNC Global Women\u2019s Health Fellowship and the UJMT Fogarty Global Health Fellows Consortium.<\/p>\n

\"Genevieve<\/p>\n

Genevieve Neal-Perry, MD, PhD<\/strong>
\nRobert A. Ross Distinguished Professor and Chair, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology<\/em><\/h3>\n

Dr. Neal-Perry research program has focused on the menopause and the impact of nutrition on reproductive and fertility outcomes. She has published a wide range of original research manuscripts, reviews, and book chapters in the field of reproductive science. Dr. Neal-Perry\u2019s clinical interests and expertise include general infertility, cancer and reproductive health, PCOS, in vitro fertilization, third party reproduction, single and same sex reproduction, nutrition and fertility, premature ovarian insufficiency, ovarian aging, menopause and perimenopause complaints, and menstrual cycle dysfunction. She specializes in minimally invasive surgical procedures intended to restore fertility including ovarian cyst removal, tubal reconstruction and uterine polyp and fibroid management.<\/div>\n

\"Victoria<\/a>Victoria Bae-Jump, MD, PhD<\/strong>
\nProfessor, Gynecologic Oncology<\/em><\/h3>\n

Dr. Bae-Jump’s research focuses on understanding the interactions between cell signaling pathways implicated in endometrial cancer pathogenesis as a means to target therapy for this disease. She is also interested in the impact that obesity has on endometrial cancer development and progression which may invariably dictate different treatment options. In addition, she has a clinical trial underway which is a microarray-based endeavor to correlate gene expression patterns with clinical outcomes and parameters in endometrial cancer, including obesity, lymph node status, and recurrence risk.<\/p>\n

\"Kim<\/p>\n

Kim Boggess, MD<\/strong>
\nProfessor, Maternal-Fetal Medicine<\/em><\/h3>\n

Dr. Boggess has been a member of the UNC School of Medicine faculty since 1999. Her clinical focus is high risk pregnancy and critical care obstetrics. She has a special interest in the impact of oral disease on pregnancy outcomes, and was the first investigator to report an association between maternal periodontal infection and preeclampsia. Dr. Boggess also served as the Program Director for the UNC Building Interdisciplinary Research Careers in Women\u2019s Health (BIRCWH) Program from 2015 to 2021.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\nProfessor, General Obstetrics and Gynecology
\nDivision Director, General Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Midwifery<\/em>
\nDirector, UNC Rural Obstetrics and Gynecology Fellowship<\/em><\/h3>\n

Dr. Arora is an expert in disparities surrounding sterilization (permanent contraception) and reproductive bioethics. She has served as the Greenwall Fellow in Bioethics for the National Academy of Medicine, Chair of the national ethics committee of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, on the national ethics committee of the American Medical Association, on the Board of Directors of the American Society for Bioethics and the Humanities, and on the Governing Council for the Young Physicians Section of the American Medical Association. She was named a 40 under 40 leader in minority health by the National Minority Quality Forum. Clinically, she is passionate about contraceptive care, LGBT health, abnormal uterine bleeding, fibroids, and minimally-invasive gynecologic surgery.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
