The Children’s Cochlear Implant Program at UNC is located a little less than 2 miles from Interstate-40 in Durham, North Carolina, 8 miles north of the University of NC in Chapel Hill, 17 miles south of Duke University, and about 20 minutes west of the Raleigh-Durham International Airport. We are centrally located in the state and easily accessible to families and professionals.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our center is located in a small professional office complex near the quiet residential area of Woodcroft. This area of Durham is growing and is great for shopping the new Southpoint Mall just across the Interstate.<\/p>\n

If your child has Tricare Prime, please ask your child\u2019s PCM to submit the following authorization requests to Tricare: Speech and language evaluation and an audiological evaluation at The Children\u2019s Cochlear Implant Center at UNC (5501 Fortunes Ridge Drive, Suite A, Durham, NC 27713), and an ENT evaluation at UNC Faculty Physicians (2226 Nelson Hwy, Chapel Hill, NC 27517).<\/span><\/p>\n
