Faculty members apply epidemiological expertise to a variety of cardiovascular health problems in clinical and translational research. The Department of Emergency Medicine encompasses a broad area of investigations including patient-oriented research, clinical trials, health services, and epidemiological research. We aim to inform clinical practice and to improve cardiovascular health at the clinical and population level.

Faculty members’ research interest include the following: heart failure, myocardial infarction, stroke, prehospital emergency care, cardiac rehabilitation, arterial stiffness, and women’s health.

We welcome collaborators to explore our diverse interests in cardiovascular disease research.
