They are making a difference, and that\u2019s what our Department is all about &#8212; making a difference in the lives of people. I am so proud.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>On behalf of the Division of Global and Population Emergency Care<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Our chair, Dr. Jane Brice, has been enthusiastically in support of our Division of Global and Population Emergency Care <\/em><em>since she began her role in 2015.\u00a0Our department, via our chair, has supported the endeavors of our Global Health division through direct financial means, assistance with scheduling, hiring, education and mentoring of international learners.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Our department has consistently hosted international academic physicians for their research\/sabbaticals. We have hosted EM residents from around the globe for short term observer-ships and international medical students for rotations in EM. Global emergency medicine is one of the fastest-growing subspecialties of emergency medicine, as evidenced by the ever increasing number of emergency medicine faculty members, trainees, and medical
