Angelica Walker, MD was drawn to ENT because of its variety. She enjoys caring for patients of all ages, the wide range of surgeries, and the chance to both improve quality of life and treat life-threatening conditions. Just as importantly, the ENT residents and attendings she has worked with have been hardworking, welcoming, and genuinely kind, making it a specialty where she felt at home.

My sub-internship at UNC last September confirmed everything I was looking for in a residency program. The residents made me feel like part of the team from day one, and it was easy to picture myself in a culture where people genuinely support one another and enjoy working together. I was also drawn to the breadth of pathology and operative experience which showed me the depth and versatility of training at UNC. My fiancé and I are so glad to have couples matched at a place we both were so excited about.
