Before medical school, Makayla Matthews, MD worked as a scribe and clinical research coordinator in an otolaryngology practice, where she learned about the breadth and complexity of ENT. What ultimately drew her in, however, was witnessing the privilege of guiding patients through every stage of their head and neck cancer journey – from diagnosis through treatment, and onto survivorship.
