Areas of Interest
Dr. Thompson specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of adults and children with ear and lateral skull base disorders. This includes hearing loss, cochlear implants, acoustic neuromas, stapedectomy, chronic ear disease, cholesteatoma, tympanic membrane perforations, CSF leaks, facial nerve tumors, hearing preservation, and many other conditions. He currently sees patients at the Chapel Hill and Raleigh/Cary locations and is certified in robotic-assisted cochlear implantation.
