This website is a great resource, with all the current information you will need to prepare and submit an application.<\/p>\n<p>Our Research Administrator, Whitney Davis (<a href=\"mailto:whitney_davis@med.unc.edu\">whitney_davis@med.unc.edu<\/a>), will help you navigate this process.\u00a0Let her know as soon as decide that you want to submit a proposal.\u00a0 Giving everyone advance notice will help ensure that the process works smoothly. Grant submission requests\u00a0must be submitted through <a href=\"https:\/\/ramses2.research.unc.edu\/rasr\/index.cfm?event=general.login\">RASR<\/a>(new proposal). The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/fbo\/first\/\">Finance &amp; Research Support Team (FiRST)<\/a> lists the policies on grant submissions.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>\n<h3><h2\n\t         id=\"check\"\n\t         class=\"icon center fa-check\">Getting approval to conduct research<\/h2><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Federal, state, and local laws are in place protect research subjects.\u00a0 The university offers training and provides oversight to ensure that we are in compliance. Those resources are the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Feasibility Assessment Tool (FeAT, coming soon), will help you evaluate the factors that affect success of your project.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/research.unc.edu\/human-research-ethics\/getting-started\/training\/\">CITI Program Training<\/a> demonstrates familiarity with the principles of responsible conduct of research.<\/li>\n<li>Research involving human participants (e.g., drug or device studies)\u00a0may require additional training in clinical research.\n<ul>\n<li>More information on human subjects research can be found at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/crso\">Clinical Research Support Office (CRSO)<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Protocols for research involving human subjects must be approved by UNC&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/irbis.research.unc.edu\/irb\/\">Institutional Review Board<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Research protocols for research involving animals must be approved by UNC&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/research.unc.edu\/iacuc\/getting-started\/\">Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><h2\n\t         id=\"check\"\n\t         class=\"icon center fa-check\">Submitting industry-sponsored contracts<\/h2><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Draft industry-sponsored contracts and budgets must be submitted and approved through the following system(s):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ramses2.research.unc.edu\/ramses\/\">Research Administration Management System &amp;
