From 2019 until March 2025\, she served as the Assad Meymandi Distinguished Professor and Chair of the Department of Psychiatry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill\, where she also directed the UNC Center for Women’s Mood Disorders. As Chair\, Dr. Meltzer-Brody collaborated with UNC Health and the state of North Carolina on innovation and transformation of mental health care. Previously\, Dr. Meltzer-Brody founded the UNC “Taking Care of Our Own” mental health program in 2011 and played an important in leading UNC Health Well-Being initiatives. \n  \n \nNadia Charguia \nAssociate Professor\nExecutive Medical Director\, Integrated Well-Being Program for UNC Healthcare\nDirector of Well-Being and Professional Fulfillment\, UNC SOM Office of Leadership and Faculty Affairs\nDirector\, Taking Care of Our Own Program \nDr. Nadia Charguia is an associate professor and child psychiatrist in the UNC Department of Psychiatry. Over the past 12 years\, she has dedicated her professional mission to promoting the well-being\, resilience\, and professional fulfillment of faculty\, staff\, and healthcare teammates\, both at the SOM as well as for our healthcare system. Dr. Charguia has led and continues to advance a number of initiatives that promote the emtional health and well-being of our workforce\, while fostering a supportive\, thriving work environment. She has championed a number of efforts to promote bi-directional communication and engagement in order to impact meaningful system change efforts\, including most recently leading the What to Fix Campaign for the SOM and the Getting Rid of Stupid Stuff initiative for our healthcare system. Wilson Professionalism Forum has featured a variety of medical professionals since 2011. \nSession\n“Professionalism Remediation and Ambiguities and Strategies”\n6 PM – 7 PM | Roper Hall 7601 | Zoom | Snacks Provided \nSpeaker\nAdina Kalet\, MD\, MPH\, a general internist\, is professor of medicine and medical education at the Medical College of Wisconsin\, and previously Professor of Medicine and Surgery at the New York University Grossman School of Medicine.  She teaches\, mentors and has led several cross-disciplinary groups of educators and researchers working to link education and health services research methodology to study medical education’s link to long-term outcomes in learners and patients.  She writes and speaks regularly on transforming medical education\, clinical skills and professionalism remediation\, educational technology\, mentoring and professional identity formation assessment. She co-directs the US site of the University of Maastricht’s master’s in health professions education and leads several annual mentor development programs.  In 2023\, along with Dr. Calvin L. She teaches Leading and Managing\, Negotiations\, and Groups and Teams in the undergraduate program\, full-time MBA program\,  and Executive MBA program. Her research interests include team dynamics and adaptation\, negotiations\, team leadership\, and mindsets in the workplace. She has published her research in the Journal of Applied Psychology\, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes\, Personnel Psychology\, Academy of Management Discoveries\, the Journal of Business Ethics\, Leadership Quarterly\, Group Dynamics: Theory\, Research\, and Practice\, and in the book The Psychology of Negotiations in the 21st Century Workplace. She is a recipient of the Poets and Quants 2022 50 Best Undergraduate Professors award and a Teaching All-Star in the Full-time MBA Program. \nProfessor Christian completed her bachelor’s degree at Tulane University and her PhD in management and organizations at the University of Arizona. \n\n
