Our coaching programming equips faculty and leaders with skills to promote enhanced communication, improved performance, and increased support for faculty.
Our goal is to create a vibrant and diverse institutional culture where all members of the UNC SOM community can thrive. Coaching is vital to this achieve this. Coaching provides a safe environment where faculty can develop and grow and use their talents to the best of their ability.

Leader as a Coach
The Leader as a Coach program is for faculty in leadership positions interested in learning coaching skills they can incorporate in their day-to-day work. Participants will learn skills to help them engage in transformational conversations using coaching techniques.
Internal Coach Training Program
The Internal Coach Training Program equips participants with the skills to be certified leadership coaches. Participants can continue on to become credentialed with the International Coaching Federation if interested. Following this program, participants are able to serve as internal peer coaches for the SOM.
