LAMP addresses the fundamentals of career planning and professional development while creating networking opportunities that contribute to success.<\/p>\n<p>LAMP meets monthly and includes 9 interactive sessions with guest speakers from across campus giving dedicated one half-day for their professional growth. Each month, the session concludes with small group coaching with the same specially trained coach. The 2026 &#8211; 2027 program will be hosted on the 2nd Thursday of each month from 12:30 &#8211; 4:00 pm.<\/p>\n<p>After graduating from LAMP, alumni are offered quarterly continuity coaching for the year following their LAMP cohort year. This time is used to share successes and challenges they have experienced since graduating and receive guidance and support from the coach as well as fellow alumni.<\/p>\n<h4>The goals of LAMP are to:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>foster a community of junior (new) faculty in the UNC SOM<\/li>\n<li>provide skill building and resources for career success in an academic medicine setting<\/li>\n<li>clarify promotion and tenure criteria<\/li>\n<li>introduce pathways for leadership development and institutional service<\/li>\n<li>increase confidence in pursuit of advancement through the tripartite mission of UNC SOM<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr  style=\"margin:30px 0\"class=\" rule-thin osc-rule\" \/>\n<div class=\"row  oscitas-bootstrap-container\">\n<div class=\"col-lg-6 col-md-12 col-xs-12 col-sm-12 oscitas-bootstrap-container\">\n<h2>Application Details<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Applications are due June 1.<\/strong> Complete application form in collaboration with your Department Chair and send with CV to Dawn Morriston <a href=\"mailto:dawn_morriston@med.unc.edu\"><em>dawn_morriston@med.unc.edu<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/facultyaffairs\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/427\/2026\/01\/LAMP-2026-Application.pdf\">LAMP 2026 Application<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"col-lg-6 col-md-12 col-xs-12 col-sm-12 oscitas-bootstrap-container\">\n<h2>Important Dates<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Feb &#8211;
