Kristina Bortfeld, MD is a recent graduate of Emory’s Internal Medicine Residency program in Atlanta, where she had the rewarding and dynamic experience of working in both a university hospital system, and at one of the largest public safety-net hospitals in the country, Grady Memorial. She is interested in reducing disparities in preventive health care services through changes in the local community, environment, and healthcare delivery. She is specifically interested in cardiovascular diseases and obesity medicine.
She is originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan, but grew up between New Jersey and NYC before moving to the south. She loves to stay active by long distance running, gardening, swimming, and yoga (she is a certified teacher!)
