FQHC TRACK RESIDENT: PROSPECT HILL

Greetings! My name is Lorenzo Spencer and I grew up in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. I studied biological sciences at the University of Southern Mississippi where I met my wife, Kaylyn. I enjoyed being able to serve as a mentor for the Pine Belt Chapter of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. After graduating from Southern Miss, I moved to Jackson, Mississippi to complete the Master of Biomedical Sciences program at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

I also attended medical school at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. I’ve always had a passion for inspiring youth and educating my patients. That’s why I’m so excited to practice family medicine! I hope to work in a community where I can teach my patients about acute and chronic diseases while also serving as a team physician for local high schools and colleges. I’m fortunate enough to have the opportunity to hone these skills here at the University of North Carolina and at the Prospect Hill Community Health Center!

I love to play golf, soccer, football, and basketball. I also enjoy watching movies and anime with my lovely wife Kaylyn in my free time. I consider myself to be a chicken wing connoisseur, so I look forward to seeing what wing spots the Triangle has to offer!
