Preventive Medicine Resident

Nighat Zahoor Khan, MD, MPH completed her medical education at Windsor University School of Medicine in 2011. After completing her medical education, she moved to Pakistan (her country of origin). While working in rural Pakistan, Dr. Khan became acquainted with the health disparities that afflicted the average person and in particular the people of disadvantaged countries and found her calling in Public Health. She returned to the US to complete her Master of Public Health with a focus on Global Health from the University of Massachusetts in 2017.

She went on to become manager of Special Projects at Fusion Health in Virginia where she had the opportunity to travel around the world and develop health initiatives related to the medical education curriculum, healthcare facility Feasibility Assessments, and community health programs in The Gambia, Nigeria, and Pakistan. In 2021, Dr. Khan returned to residency at Mercy Hospital St. Louis to complete a Transitional Year to pursue Preventive Medicine Residency.

Dr. Khan has a special interest in delivering Medical Education. She also is interested in Global Health initiatives and continues to enjoy clinical practice.
