– Graduate of Ohio State University
– Once an Ohio State Buckeye and now a UNC Tarheel! I am new to North Carolina and loving it so far. The Family Medicine faculty and the residents here at UNC Chapel Hill have been incredibly supportive and welcoming. During the interview season, I felt this program embraced the individuals in its midst and functioned as a professional family. This has proved to be true, and I am grateful for my local extended family as I face the challenges inherent in intern year. My professional interests include public and international health. As such, I LOVE to travel and explore new cultures. I learned to speak Spanish in Ecuador where I also learned how to Latin dance. I am having no trouble putting both of these skills to use here in the Triangle.
Personal Interests: Given vacation time, I either head to Cleveland to hang out with my parents, my brother, and my beagle puppy or get on a plane to a destination requiring a passport. South America, Africa, and Southeast Asia are among my favorite destinations. Given less time, I enjoy hiking, jogging, watching movies, dancing, and trying just about anything new. I hope to try kayaking now that I’m in sunny NC!.
