Biographical Information
Dr. Bossenbroek Fedoriw currently serves as the Director of Medical Student Programs for the UNC Department of Family Medicine. She coordinates student activities, helps to advise the Family Medicine Interest Group (FMIG), supports faculty in their teaching efforts, and leads efforts to generate student interest in Family Medicine as a career. She was involved in the inception of the FIRST program, which is an accelerated curriculum that gets primary care providers into rural underserved communities in North Carolina. Dr. Bossenbroek Fedoriw has experience teaching first and second-year medical students and is the Course Director for Community Based Longitudinal Care, a 16-week clerkship for third-year students. She has served as the STFM MSE conference chair and is currently shaping family medicine education on a national level through her work with the STFM Committee on Medical Student Education. Dr. Bossenbroek Fedoriw is also heavily involved in the clinical treatment of opioid use disorder with medications and is a Hub expert for the ECHO for MAT at UNC. She has taught learners of all levels across the state to help mitigate the opioid crisis.
