Overview<\/h2>\n<\/div>\nThe learning network focuses on POCUS Research and Education:<\/p>\n

\"\"1. Advancing POCUS Research<\/h4>\n

We are committed to rigorous research on how POCUS can enhance family medicine and primary care, particularly in continuity clinics. The network will develop protocols and conduct multisite clinical trials around the continuity setting to grow the existing evidence base and support programs to do research. Given the educational focus of the network as well, POCUS educational research will be conducted to determine best practices for teaching and assessing POCUS skills.<\/p>\n

2. Providing High Quality POCUS Education<\/h4>\n

To advance POCUS education, we have established regional hubs that provide clinicians with high-quality, hands-on training led by experienced physicians. In addition, we offer longitudinal learning cohorts designed to strengthen cognitive POCUS skills. For programs seeking on-site support, our traveling workshops and longitudinal curriculum bring tailored training directly to residency programs and practice locations, helping to jumpstart or enhance local POCUS curricula.<\/p>\n

Trusted Training, Led by Experts<\/h2>\n<\/div>\nChoosing the right POCUS training can be overwhelming. We make it easy by providing trusted, evidence-based education through validated learning theories. The leaders in this network led the national effort to define the scope of POCUS in family medicine residency training. They are now committed to teaching those very applications in a structured, supportive way.<\/p>\n

Faculty & Resident Growth Together<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n

\"\"While our mission is to equip all Family Medicine and Primary Care Clinicians with POCUS skills, the PRIME POCUS Learning Network places a particular interest in family medicine faculty and resident development at training sites, recognizing the critical importance of learning these skills during residency. We believe that cultivating \u201cPOCUS champions\u201d among faculty is essential, not only to strengthen their own expertise but also to empower them to train residents effectively. By providing faculty and residents with access to high-quality training and a comprehensive curriculum, we help them build the confidence and competence needed to integrate POCUS into their future practice.
