He completed his training at John Peter Smith Family Medicine Residency, where he completed a fellowship in Maternal-Child Health. During the fellowship, he obtained extensive POCUS experience and completed multiple online POCUS programs before the residency had a formal POCUS curriculum.<\/p>\n<p>As core faculty and former associate program director for the Texas A&amp;M Family Medicine Residency, Dr. Williamson has expertise in clinical pedagogy, resident remediation, procedural education, ultrasound training, and helping physicians move forward after bad outcomes.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>POCUS Teaching Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dr. Williamson serves as the POCUS faculty champion for Texas A&amp;M\u2019s Family Medicine Residency. As part of this, he has spearheaded efforts to train local faculty and residents in POCUS and frequently incorporates its use in clinic and hospital settings.
