Biographical Information<\/h2>\n

\u201cI have always had an interest in serving others and being involved in my community,\u201d says Dr. Barzin. \u201cAs a physician, I have the opportunity to work with families and their loved ones to improve their well being, provide support and be an advocate for them. I approach every patient interaction with the fundamentals of my osteopathic training in mind, and look at how the mind, body, and soul impact one\u2019s health. Outside of work, I can frequently be found running around the streets of Chapel Hill and enjoying UNC athletics. My wife and I enjoy traveling, trying new food and spending time with our two children.\u201d<\/p>\n

Barzin completed medical school at the University of North Texas Health Science Center and then completed his residency in Family Medicine at UNC Family Medicine. After doing a Chief Resident Fellowship, he remained with the department. He has served in various leadership roles within the department including the Family Medicine Inpatient Service Line Director, Medical Director of The Family Medicine Center at Chapel Hill, and the UNC Urgent Care at The Family Medicine Center at Chapel Hill.\u00a0 Prior to his current role, he served as the Medical Director for UNC Health Virtual Care Services and UNC Health Outpatient Access Center.<\/div>\n
