Amber Komorian is the Director of Academic Excellence at UNC Family Medicine Residency and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine. During her undergraduate education at the University of Texas at Austin, she fell in love with child and adolescent health. This grew to involve patients of all ages during her time at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. During medical school, she completed a Master of Public Health at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. She completed her residency with an emphasis on maternal and child health at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas, including a year as a Chief Resident. After residency, she followed her husband to UNC to pursue her passions for patient care, teaching, and community research. When not working, she enjoys the outdoors, all genres of dance, Texas Longhorn sports, and spending time with her husband and two schnauzers.<\/p>\n
Dr. Komorian enjoys practicing full-spectrum family medicine, including inpatient and outpatient care, with specific interests in women\u2019s health, maternity care, pediatrics, gender-affirming care, and addiction medicine.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
