This series will increase awareness, knowledge, and skills around best practices for Latinx mental health treatment in the primary care setting.<\/p>\n<p><em>This series will be held <strong>alternating Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 12pm to 1pm starting on June 29, 2021 through June 27, 2023<\/strong>. *See detailed schedule at the bottom of this page for exact dates.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>By participating in this series, you will be able to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>describe current best practices for Latinx mental health\u00a0treatment<\/li>\n<li>have a chance to analyze patient case studies in mental health care particular to Latinx\u00a0people<\/li>\n<li>review the unique qualities of Latinx people with mental\u00a0illness<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Content\u00a0expertise provided by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/elfuturo-nc.org\/about\/our-story\/\">El Futuro, Inc.<\/a>\u00a0El Futuro is a nonprofit outpatient clinic that provides comprehensive mental health services for Latinx families in a bilingual environment of healing and hope.<\/p>\n<p>If you are interested in joining and would like to receive the Zoom link and calendar invites or have any questions, contact Kelsey Ross Dew using <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/unc.az1.qualtrics.com\/jfe\/form\/SV_862KLzUi2lgJqxE\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">this brief form<\/span><\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>To submit a case presentation for consideration to be used\u00a0during\u00a0a session, please complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/fammed\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/454\/2021\/07\/BLANK-TEMPLATE-UNC-DFM-PHS-Case-Presentation-rev.docx\"><strong><u>case presentation form<\/u><\/strong><\/a> and return the completed form via email to Kelsey by 12pm the Friday prior to the session &#8211;\u00a0 <a href=\"mailto:kelseyrd@email.unc.edu\">kelseyrd@email.unc.edu<\/a>.
