We are so much more than our rankings!<\/p>\n<p>We strive to provide our residents with the highest quality clinical education available, taking the needs of our community, our patients and our nation into account when developing and adapting curriculum.<\/p>\n<p>Our residency mission is to:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Train the best and the brightest well rounded Family Physician.<\/li>\n<li>Meet the needs of our patients across the state.<\/li>\n<li>Develop doctors who can adapt to the needs of their communities of the future.<\/li>\n<li>Create leaders for the changing healthcare system.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Throughout their training, resident physicians have the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including the large tertiary care University of North Carolina hospital, to community hospitals in Hillsborough and Raleigh, to a critical access hospital in Siler City. Residents work in the county health department, a local continuing care retirement community, on the sidelines of local sports teams, and in our longitudinal continuity clinic sites. All of these opportunities allow our residents to begin to explore their future career options.<\/p>\n<p>With the support of 70+ faculty members with a variety of passions, talents, and interests, residents have a wide array of advisors, mentors, and teachers to learn alongside and to partner with on elective opportunities and areas of concentration.<\/p>\n<p>We are thrilled you have stopped by to visit our site!
