The clinic is being implemented to expand the department\u2019s community involvement.\u00a0 This clinic will include the use of x-ray, musculoskeletal ultrasound, bracing, and casting. The clinic is available to all area athletes as well as little league athletes and weekend warriors.<\/p>\n<h2>Community Outreach<\/h2>\n<p class=\" \">The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Sports Medicine Fellowship understands the importance of community to our program. We believe in giving back to our community by providing comprehensive medical care to our local area high schools and universities. These schools include East Chapel Hill High School, Chapel Hill High School, Northwood High School, and Carrboro High School. We provide physician coverage at athletic events as well as pre-season competition sport physicals. We also provide medical care and pre-season competition physicals to local area universities including North Carolina Central University and Saint Augustine University. Over 1400 athletes traveled to Raleigh to participate in aquatics, gymnastics, powerlifting, softball, and volleyball.
