As director for the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/tpep.unc.edu\">Tobacco Prevention and Evaluation Program<\/a> (TPEP)\u00a0at\u00a0the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill,\u00a0I lead a team of talented public health professionals to\u00a0pursue critical research questions and evaluate\u00a0public health\u00a0programs. Our goal is to conduct research that directly informs public health policy and practice\u00a0and to provide evaluation services that help public health programs maximize their impact.<\/p>\n<p>TPEP offers unparalleled access to cutting-edge public health research and program evaluation. As part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/fammed\/tobacco\/home-2\/\">UNC Tobacco Intervention Programs<\/a>\u00a0in the UNC Department of Family Medicine, our TPEP team collaborates with the <a href=\"http:\/\/ttp.unc.edu\">UNC Tobacco Treatment Program<\/a> (TTP). Our research and evaluation projects are informed by working with TTP\u2019s certified tobacco treatment specialists, and our research and evaluation expertise helps TTP inform their clinically focused projects. This unique collaboration strengthens our work and allows us to meet a range of research and evaluation client needs.<\/p>\n<p>TPEP\u2019s high-quality work, positive rapport,\u00a0and strong working relationships with\u00a0research colleagues and\u00a0program stakeholders contribute\u00a0to a stellar reputation. Our team is motivated and inspired by\u00a0a\u00a0common purpose to reduce\u00a0morbidity\u00a0and mortality through research, evaluation,\u00a0and dissemination of information.
