SUMMARY:FCS Express Flow and Image Cytometry: Moving Beyond FlowJo
DESCRIPTION:The De Novo Software approach to flow cytometry data analysis allows for advanced analysis with an easy to use interface and efficiency in mind. Attend this seminar if you need to eliminate bottlenecks in your analysis\, easily communicate findings\, model data\, or need a new approach to make data analysis more efficient. FCS Express allows you to access data analysis tools from any computer\, Mac or PC\, so you can analyze when and where you need to. Join us to learn about the FCS Express difference! \nLocation notes: \nNIEHS\, 111 T. W. Alexander Drive \nRall Building\, Rodbell Auditorium B\, Research Triangle Park\, North Carolina \n IMPORTANT: Due to the high level of security\, visitors to NIEHS must provide two forms of ID (driver’s license\, company ID\, university ID) and should be prepared to give the security guards the name of the seminar you are attending or have available a copy of this announcement.

SUMMARY:Introductory Flow Cytometry Training Class
DESCRIPTION:To register\, you must first create an account in iLab: https://my.ilabsolutions.com/account/signup/279?sc_id=3267 You will need to enter your PI name and billing information. Once you have created your account\, you may request the Introductory Training. \nThis first class is a lecture on the basics of the instrumentation and best practices for experimental design. It is required of all core users\, regardless of prior experience. Once completing the class\, you can sign up for instrument training. \nThere is a $121 fee for the lecture and $92 for instrument training\, which includes any amount of additional coaching you may need. Investigators outside of the UNC system are subject to higher rates: http://www.med.unc.edu/flowcytometry/rates-services-policies/rates \nIf you are new to flow cytometry\, We suggest that you visit our web site and browse the page\, Useful flow cytometry links: http://www.med.unc.edu/flowcytometry/resources-2/useful-links \nUnder Tutorials\, find introduction to flow cytometry webinars in nice little chunks. \nThermoFisher tutorials – learn about fluorescence and flow cytometry \nBD tutorials – includes introduction to FACSDiva\, the software for the LSR II and LSRFortessa. \nMore advanced users will find this webinar on fluorophores and panel design helpful: http://www.biolegend.com/brilliantviolet_webinar

SUMMARY:iQue Screener PLUS workshop
DESCRIPTION:The UNC Flow Cytometry Core invites users and interested investigators to learn more about the Intellicyt iQue Screener PLUS This is a high through put flow cytometer capable of running 96 and 384-well rapid screening (about 5 minutes per 96-well plate). \nThis is a 3-laser (violet\, blue\, yellow-green) high throughput flow cytometer capable of detecting up to 13 colors of fluorescence. \nAn introduction to the instrument and training on the ForeCyt software will be held in Room 2004 Marsico Hall on Wednesday February 22. This class is open to all interested investigators. \n\nMorning: Introduction and basics\nLunch: Advanced applications/ ForeCyt software\nAfternoon: Instrument demo/running samples\n\nFor more information on the instrument configuration\, you can go to our website: https://www.med.unc.edu/flowcytometry/instrumentation-2/analyzers/intellicyt-ique-screener \nFor more information on the iQue Screener: http://www.intellicyt.com/ique-screener.html \nIf you are interested in running a sample plate\, we are taking limited requests to run by appointment. Contact Sebastien Coquery to schedule. \nNo reservations are needed to attend the ForeCyt class.
