The Age-Based Genomic Screening Team was glad to have the chance to table among so many amazing community organizations and HBCUs at this event on Feb 17th! We had the chance to talk to a handful of the hundreds of attendees about the purpose of our project and out current goal of hearing from community members to understand the best way to create educational resources about genetics\/genetic screening. In addition, we appreciated all the input that we got on some of the activities we were doing, our comic book, and simple have the chance to talk to more people in the Triangle.<\/p>\n

“BULL CITY IN BLACK: HBCU Showcase & Community Resource Fair<\/strong> celebrates the history and enduring legacy of historically black colleges and universities from across the state and region. The Emily K Center will host representatives and student organizations from HBCUs and community organizations with a particular focus on mental health and wellness. Students and families from across Durham are invited to join us at the Center to learn more about HBCUs and admissions opportunities, and gain access to health and wellness services unique to the Bull City.”<\/p>\n
