Dr. Justyne Ross graduated from Michigan State University in 2010, with a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and a B.S. in Genomics and Molecular Genetics. While there she studied genetics in a variety of model organisms, and her subsequent research in the pharmaceutical industry fostered her interest in the application of genetics to patient care. She earned her Ph.D. in Genetics and Genomics from Duke University in 2016, where she investigated the epigenetic inheritance of human centromeres. Justyne is currently a biocurator for the Clinical Genome (ClinGen) Resource where she is involved in curating gene-disease associations for hemostasis/thrombosis and inborn errors of metabolism. During her free time, Justyne enjoys tennis, ballet, and caring for her pet hedgehog.
