Christina joined the Berg lab in January 2024 as Sr. Coordinator at the UNC Biocuration and Coordination Core.\u00a0 She earned her Bachelors in Chemistry from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida.\u00a0 She then went on to pursue a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology at the University of Miami.\u00a0 A recipient of an HHMI predoctoral fellowship, she worked under Dr. Vladlen Slepak on the biochemical and functional characterization of a novel calcium binding protein.\u00a0 After her PhD, she worked as in intern in bioethics under Dr. David Resnick at the NIEHS.\u00a0 She has since worked at UNC in roles in laboratory research and data management in public heath and cancer biology.\u00a0 In her free time, she serves as an event manager for Mothers in Science, an international non-profit that advocates for mothers in STEMM.\u00a0 She is a mom of three kids, a dog, and a bunny.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
