{"id":3782,"date":"2024-09-16T10:06:49","date_gmt":"2024-09-16T14:06:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/genetics\/berglab\/?post_type=directory&#038;p=3782"},"modified":"2024-09-16T10:06:49","modified_gmt":"2024-09-16T14:06:49","slug":"haley-garrett-mph","status":"publish","type":"directory","link":"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/genetics\/berglab\/directory\/haley-garrett-mph\/","title":{"rendered":"Haley Garrett, MPH"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"x_elementToProof\">Haley Garrett earned her B.S. in Biology from Young Harris College in 2019 and completed her MPH in Applied Epidemiology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2024.<\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\">With a diverse research background, Haley has contributed to multiple projects over the past several years at UNC, including work with UNC&#8217;s Biospecimen Processing Facility, the Aiello Research Group, and the IDEEL lab.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\">Her work has spanned various topics, including COVID-19 during the onset of the pandemic, infectious diseases, and DNA analysis and amplification. Haley also worked during her MPH as a graduate research assistant through the Carolina Population Center, focusing on the social and biological mechanisms of health disparities across the life course, and with the Foundation for Health Leadership and Innovation to develop and implement the first statewide needs assessment for Project ECHO Network &#8211; North Carolina.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\">Haley is currently a Senior Coordinator with the UNC Biocuration and Coordination Core, affiliated with ClinGen.
