The Bryson internship program is a full-time one-year post-baccalaureate internship with two internship placements per year. Preference for one internship position is given to applicants from population groups currently underrepresented in the field of genetic counseling. One position primarily focuses on clinical program support and one primarily focuses on the Clinical Genome Resource (ClinGen) program. All interns are exposed to the clinical activities of the cancer and adult genetics program department, including weekly clinical case discussions, pedigree review, and the UNC medical genetics seminars.
