I use computational approaches to study how gene regulation varies across individuals and how this variation leads to disease. I have a strong focus on using chromatin accessibility to identify transcriptional regulatory elements and linking regulatory elements to their target genes. I study how regulatory elements change across genetic background through quantitative trait locus mapping and enviromental conditions using differential expression analyses.
