Dr. Richmond’s research focuses on the integration of phenotypic and multi-omic data for the diagnosis of rare genetic disease. He is working within the TISlab to develop novel AI-driven approaches for phenotype recognition in patients to more rapidly identify those in need of genomic diagnostic testing, and expanding the capabilities of achieving a diagnosis with a multi-omic toolkit. With experience in gene-disease discovery, model organism research, genomic algorithm development, applied clinical genomic diagnostics, and data integration, Dr. Richmond hopes to bring answers to patients and families affected by rare disease as fast as possible to enable improved outcomes.
