community.<\/p>\n<p>During her 16 years at UNC, Dr. Miller pursued studies on the molecular genetic analysis and gene regulation of bacterial pathogen virulence.\u00a0 Her laboratory made important contributions to our understanding of gene regulation in <em>Yersinia pestis<\/em> and <em>Klebsiella pneumoniae<\/em>.\u00a0 <a
