The first annual UNC Gold Humanism Honor Society Luncheon was held on September 8, 2018 at The Carolina Inn to celebrate the newly inducted members. Proud parents, friends, and UNC School of Medicine faculty were invited to join together in recognition of these students’ accomplishments.

       

Dr. Amy Bryant was invited to speak about her experience with humanism and its importance in medicine today.

     

Dr. Anthony Charles was recognized as the most recent recipient of the Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award, selected by the UNC School of Medicine Class of 2018.

Many UNC School of Medicine faculty, including Dr. Georgette Dent, Dr. Beat Steiner, and Dr. Julie Byerly were also in attendance.
