Tell Me More

UNC’s Gold Humanism Honor Society fosters discussion of personhood outside of health and disease through our annual Tell Me More project.

During the week of February 11-15, 2019, UNC School of Medicine’s Gold Humanism Honor Society celebrated National Solidarity Week with the “Tell Me More” project.

The “Tell Me More” project entailed students visiting patients who volunteered to participate and asked them to share stories about who they are and what they are proud of. The students then recorded what patient volunteers shared on note cards. These notes were posted in the patients’ rooms so that members of the care team could see them.

At the end of the week, members of the Gold Humanism Society collected the anonymous note cards to display them around the hospital lobby.
