Dr. Brondon's interests lie in IBD, both UC and CD.  He has been interested in phototherapy, low-level light therapy (LLLT) on colonic epithelial cells and has performed both bench and clinical research at the Laser Center at Rochester General Hospital.  He would like to contribute to the advancement of LLLT and bring it to the field of GI.  Colonic adenocarcinoma cells do respond to LLLT with a growth inhibitory response.

Current clinical interests include providing treatment for general gastrointestinal disorders and inflammatory bowel disease.  Research interests include investigating the biostimulatory effects of cold laser therapy / low-level light therapy on gastrointestinal disease models in the hope of promoting wound healing and reducing inflammatory states.
