Prior to joining UNC, she was a faculty member at California State University Fullerton.\\\\n\\\\nDr. Drouin\\u2019s research program investigates the mechanisms that support spoken language in listeners with hearing loss, including cochlear implant and hearing aid users. Her work focuses on the interplay between listening-related fatigue, auditory learning, and speech adaptation. She employs both basic science and clinical translational approaches to identify factors that optimize outcomes for listeners with hearing loss.
