I currently was named POC coordinator for Faulkner Hospital in Boston,MA, a 130 bed community hospital affiliated with Brigham and Women’s Hospital. I also continue to rotate bench positions in Blood Bank, Hematology and Chemistry. I am currently taking a first course in a Masters of Education program at Curry College with an interest in teaching CLS. A few years ago, I completed a Molecular Certificate atBoston University, and while I have not worked in the molecular/research realm, I try to maintain familiarity. Again, stay motivated and NEVER stop learning!”

I have 4 children: Lauren 18, Rachel 15, Alex 13, Nicky 11. After taking some time off to raise my children, I am now a consultant for Atlanta schools regarding health education for young men and women in Middle School and High School. Medical Technology is a wonderful springboard for an array of areas besides the clinical lab. I am considering getting my teacher certification for secondary level science courses. So many doors are open with our level and diversity of education.”

I got my NC teacher certification for middle school science and taught 6-9 grades for several years and taught courses at the local community college in lab science and medical terminology. The program was a great background for careers other than strictly lab. Since the mid-80s I have worked with publicly traded life science companies in RTP. My wife Lisa, a psychotherapist, and I live in Raleigh. Our daughter, Julia, got an undergrad from UNC in clinical social work and masters from Boston College. Julia works in Boston. Our son, Daniel, is a junior at NC State studying materials science in the school of engineering. Noodle and I stay in touch frequently, but have lost contact with most of our other classmates.” 8/2006
