DESCRIPTION:Join us for Lab Life on the Hill\, a 40-minute LIVE stream program\, on February 2nd from 1:10 to 1:50pm for a glimpse into the world of Medical Laboratory Science. You will get a taste of what we do in the lab and what it’s like to be a student in the laboratory professions. \nUNC Clinical Lab Science students are excited to share their career journey with you! Join us for Lab Life on the Hill from wherever you can link to a Zoom event\, and see real students as they demonstrate real tests from real patients in the student lab\, explore the clinical labs at UNC Hospitals to see what they are working on\, and ask questions in the chat box to hear answers from our presenters all LIVE. \nIf you love STEM and are interested in knowing more about a career in healthcare where you can help patients from behind the scenes by providing critical lab results to diagnose diseases\, manage treatments\, and help keep patients healthy\, CLS at UNC may be for you. You can learn more about the CLS program by checking out our website. If you are interested in a 2-year Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) program or a phlebotomy certificate where you can be certified to collect blood samples in hospitals and clinics\, perhaps a Community College near you would be your chosen pathway.
