{"id":6249,"date":"2026-01-06T12:35:30","date_gmt":"2026-01-06T17:35:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/healthsciences\/clinical\/?post_type=job-posting&#038;p=6249"},"modified":"2026-01-06T12:41:15","modified_gmt":"2026-01-06T17:41:15","slug":"medical-laboratory-technician-mlt-or-medical-technologist-mt","status":"publish","type":"job-posting","link":"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/healthsciences\/clinical\/job-posting\/medical-laboratory-technician-mlt-or-medical-technologist-mt\/","title":{"rendered":"Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT\/MLS)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>At Jeffers, Mann and Artman Pediatric (JMA) our mission is to provide excellent medical care in a caring, family-centered environment and assist families in building happy, healthy children.<\/p>\n<p>JMA is looking for a full time, skilled Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT) for our Clayton Location.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLT) or Medical Technologists (MT) <strong>must have<\/strong>:\n<ul>\n<li>Experience with direct patient contact and great sample collection technique<\/li>\n<li>Able to perform all laboratory testing according to practice and CLIA guidelines in a moderate complexity lab setting (i.e. kit testing, capillary &amp; heel sticks, venipunctures)<\/li>\n<li>Ability to operate and maintain advanced laboratory equipment<\/li>\n<li>Ensure quality control and accurate reporting of results<\/li>\n<li>Excellent customer service skills<\/li>\n<li>Detail oriented<\/li>\n<li>Great time management<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with other lab techs and healthcare professionals to support patient diagnosis and treatment<\/li>\n<li>Ability to train other members of the healthcare team on sample collection and operation of laboratory equipment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Benefits<\/strong> include health, dental, vision insurance, PTO, 401(k) matching and disability insurance.<\/li>\n<li>JMA Pediatrics conducts criminal background checks on all applicants prior to hire.
