Susan Beck, PhD, MLS(ASCP)CM<\/sup> has received a Distinguished Service Award from the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification<\/a>. Beck served as an American Society of Clinical Laboratory Science (ASCLS) representative to the Board of Certification (BOC) for nearly a decade. Along with other ASCLS representatives, she helped navigate the merger of the Board of Registry (BOR) with the National Credentialing Agency (NCA) to form the ASCP Board of Certification. She has also served on the BOC executive committee and has chaired the medical laboratory assistant examination committee.<\/p>\n
