Our program targets individuals that have experienced a stroke that are preparing to discharge to home from the acute inpatient rehabilitation unit at UNC Hospital.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Over the course of three months, participants will:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Monitor and document their physical activity,<\/li>\n<li>Maintain correspondence with their STRIDE buddy (another STRIDE participant), and<\/li>\n<li>Complete educational modules addressing a variety of relevant topics promoting wellness across multiple dimensions.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The purpose of this program is to instill accountability, motivation, and engagement in one\u2019s health and post-stroke recovery through the maintenance of physical activity and peer communication.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<hr \/>\n<div class=\"row  oscitas-bootstrap-container\">\n<div class=\"col-lg- col-md-12 col-xs-12 col-sm-12 oscitas-bootstrap-container\">\n<h2><strong>Impact of Covid-19 on Rehabilitation Care: A Clinician\u2019s Perspective<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>This research study investigated the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on physical, occupational, and speech therapists providing care at UNC Hospital using a combination of questionnaires and interviews to best capture their insight and experience.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome to the Cassidy Plasticity Lab!
